Avoid in patients w/ a possibility of cerebral embolism or w/ a risk of bleeding. Monitor frequently hematologic exam eg, blood coagulability (bleeding time, prothrombin time). W/draw immediately if intracerebral hemorrhage is suspected. Patients w/ hemorrhage under surgical treatments eg, operations (including hepatic, renal biopsies), hemorrhagic oculopathy eg, diabetic hemorrhagic retinopathy, digestive tract & urinary tract hemorrhage, abortion of premature delivery; ulcers of the digestive tract, colitis, serious HTN, active TB, history of intracranial hemorrhage. Patients receiving anticoagulants; coagulation factor deficiency, thrombocytopenia. History of hypersensitivity to urokinase or tissue culture urokinase. Serious hepatic or renal disturbances.
